This year Halloween was a lot of fun. This is the first year that Camden was really able to participate and he managed to say something that sounded like “Trick or Treat”. He went as a fireman and acted the part as he ran from car to car at a local church’s Trunk or Treat. More than one person was overheard saying, “He’s running to the fire.”
Jackson went as a bear and although didn’t really participate, he looked cute.
We went to GiGi’s, the Trunk or Treat, and then to Maw Maw and Paw Paw’s where Paw Paw got into the action and dressed up for Camden.

Last weekend we introduced Jackson to baby food for the first time. Didn’t go so well… He screamed. Mom said that she would forever link green beans and shrieking from that point forward. I have attempted the feeding process several times since then. Not much better. More screaming and crying, my telling him that this is yummy, his looking at me like I’m crazy, my explaining that he can’t eat chicken nuggets or chocolate until he masters squash, etc.
I don’t remember this being such an ordeal with son #1, but then again he wasn’t introduced to foods at the same time a toddler was talking to me insisting on going outside or playing or watching ‘Clues’ or…. So, maybe my patience level was a bit higher. It’s tough being the second child.
But, we shall endure and I am confident that I will not be sending Jackson off to college still nursing a bottle.
